th Judicial District Attorney, Bo Duhé, announces Dylan Leblanc, age 26, pled guilty in Iberia Parish District Court to (8) eight crimes arising from a two-vehicle crash that occurred on August 7, 2018. Security video from an 18-wheeler showed LeBlanc recklessly driving west on Highway 90 in Iberia Parish just prior to his losing control of his truck. LeBlanc crossed through the median into the East-bound lanes of Highway 90 crashing into a van driven by Abby Suire Sinitiere. Evidence showed that LeBlanc had a blood alcohol level of .181. The impact of the crash killed Mrs. Sinitiere, her unborn child, her one-year son and injured (3) three other juvenile occupants in her vehicle. Additionally, an occupant of Dylan LeBlanc’s vehicle was injured. Leblanc was convicted of:
Two Counts of Vehicular Homicide for the killing of Mrs. Sinitiere and her son;
Third Degree Feticide for the killing of Mrs. Sinitiere’s unborn child;
First Degree Vehicular Negligent Injury of four (4) other individuals.
Aggravated Obstruction of a Highway.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney, Craig Colwart. A sentencing hearing is set before 16
th Judicial District Court Judge Keith Comeaux on May 11, 2020 and Leblanc could be sentenced up to 100 years in prison.
