Grace Ann Loustalot, age 30, of Franklin, LA was sentenced to 20 years at hard labor, 12 years of which is without the benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence for the Vehicular Homicide of 2-year old, Temporance Finister. In addition, the Honorable Keith Comeaux also sentenced Loustalot to 6 months for the Vehicular Negligent Injuring of 2 other juveniles.
On November 8, 2017, Louisiana State Troopers responded to a fatal crash on LA 83 in Franklin, LA involving 3 juvenile passengers. Temporance Finister was unrestrained at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. The other 2 juveniles sustained non-life threatening injuries. Loustalot was the driver of the vehicle and was found to be under the influence of illegal narcotics at the time of the crash.
The case was prosecuted by the 16th Judicial District Attorney's office, Assistant District Attorney Erica Johnson Rose.
